HeatherHeather Sarkis earned her Bachelor's degree in Nursing and her Masters degree in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing from the University of Florida. She completed her Integrative Medicine Fellowship with Dr. Andrew Weil through the University of Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine. She is a Board Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner and a Fellow in Integrative Medicine.

Ms. Sarkis employs a comprehensive, holistic approach to treating children, adolescents, and adults with mood and anxiety disorders and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). She integrates an array of components in her approach to mental health care including individual and family psychotherapy, stress and anxiety management, nutrition, supplements, communication, mindfulness practices, behavioral management, education, as well as medication management when necessary. Being a Fellow in Integrative Medicine, Ms. Sarkis focuses on the whole person, and enjoys working with individuals as well as families to achieve positive treatment outcomes and promote lifelong wellness.

Ms. Sarkis is a member of several professional organizations and enjoys volunteering in her community through the Junior League of Gainesville. She is a co-founder of the non-profit organization, The Sarkis Family Charitable Foundation, which aims to stop the stigma of mental illness through education and outreach. She is also a supporter of many community organizations.
